HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL
After having arrived at the Airport, please, use the Airport Minibus
Service. This is a door-to-door service with reasonable price: HUF 2200/person
(approx. 10 USD). The Minibus Service Desks can be found in the Luggage
Area and in front of the “check out” gate as well. ATMs can be also found
there.
THE REGISTRATION DESK HOURS
The Registration and Information Desk will operate in the Agro
Hotel Conference Center as follows:
6 April 2003, Sunday 17.00 - 18.30
7 April 2003, Monday 08.00 - 18.00
8 April 2003, Tuesday 08.00 - 13.00
WELCOME RECEPTION
All registered participants are kindly invited to take part in the
Welcome reception to be held in Normafa Cafe Grill (Eötvös
u. 52-54. 1121 Budapest). Our guests will be accompanied to the reception
at 18.45 (6 April 2003, Sunday) from the Lobby.
INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS
Computer and data projector for Power Point presentation will be
available in all workshop rooms.
The official language of the
Workshop is English.
The electricity supply in
Hungary is 230 V AC (50 Hz).
VISAS
Visitors from European
countries (except Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Moldova, Macedonia, Russia
and Turkey) are not required visas.
Participants from a few overseas countries will need a visa (please check
beforehand).
The unit of currency is the Hungarian Forint (HUF), denoted as “Ft” by the Hungarians. As of late January: EUR 1 = HUF 235, see current exchange rates on the web.
International credit cards (American Express, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa) are accepted at most hotels, restaurants and shops. ATMs are available at the Airport and all over the city.
The Organizers of the Workshop do not provide insurance and do not take responsibility for any loss, accident or illness that might occur during the Workshop or in the course of travel to or from the meeting site. It is, therefore, the responsibility of the participants to check their coverage with their insurance provider.
Hungary is in the temperate zone, the April weather is usually nice but sometimes rainy. Daily temperatures range from 15oC to 20oC (59oF to 68oF), and the relative humidity is below 50%. However, the evenings may be chilly so a jacket is recommended.
