Payments, Currency, Exchange, ATM
Please note that all payments on spot (registration fees, tours etc.) can only be accepted in cash.The unit of currency is the Hungarian Forint (HUF), denoted as “Ft” in Hungary. International credit cards (EC/MC, Visa) are accepted at most hotels, restaurants and shops. ATMs are available at the Airport and in many locations throughout the city. There is one ATM machine also on the ground floor of CEU’s Monument building (Nador 9).
Lecture Rooms - Equipment:
All lecture rooms are equipped with laptops and projectors. Presenters can use Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and read pdf documents with Acrobat Reader. Presentations can be projected via removable media (CD-ROMs or USB memory sticks). Overhead projectors are also available.

Library
Location: Faculty Tower, 1st floorCEU Library has a large collection of English-language holdings in the fields of the social sciences and the humanities. Comfortable reading areas, Multimedia room, internet and WI-FI access are also available for Library users.
Congress participants are welcome to visit the Library upon showing their conference badges.

Participants Identification – Badges
All participants of the Congress are kindly requested to wear their personal badges at all Congress events.
Access to the sessions, coffee breaks, and social events is restricted to those who have registered and have badges.
If you lose your personal badge you can buy a substitute one for EUR 30 at the Registration Desk.

Lunches
Lunches are not included in the registration fees.
However, CEU Cafeteria is open during the entire congress period during lunch time and serves three-course menus, including coffee and refreshments for 1,500 HUF (approx. 6 EUR/person)
In the neighborhood of CEU there are restaurants of several types, but during the weekend only a few of them are open.
Registration/Information Desk assistants can provide you with more information in this regard.

All tickets will be handed upon registration on the spot.The full day tours (Lake Balaton on 27 June and Danube Bend on 29 June) arrive back approx. 18.00 to the CEU. Lunches are included. The Budapest sight-seeing tour takes 3 hours.
Public Transport
The best way to visit Budapest’s sights and discover the city on your own is by public transport (BKV): metro lines, streetcars, buses and trolleys. The CEU Congress venue is within easy access (10 minute walk) to the underground stations “Deák tér” (Metro line #2 and #3), „Kossuth tér” (Metro line #2), “Arany János utca” (Metro line #3), and “Bajcsy Zsilinszky “( “Földalatti #1” subway). Streetcar #2 has a stop at “Akadémia”, which is in 2 minute walk to CEU. BKV tickets are available in hotels, and in the underground stations, where you also can buy BKV cards valid for unlimited transportation in some days. (Remember, on Budapest transport you must be able to show your ticket/card at the end or to inspectors, so do not throw away your ticket after punching in).
Taxi, shuttle buses
The most popular and reliable companies in Budapest are: City Taxi,, 6x6 Taxi, Buda-Taxi, Főtaxi, Rádiótaxi, Taxi 2000 and Tele5 Taxi., and between the airport and the city, the Zona Taxi Service.
Airport Minibus Shuttle Service is also a popular and affordable means of transportation between the airport and the city.

The Organizers of the Congress do not provide insurance and do not take responsibility for any loss, accident or illness that might occur during the Congress or in the course of travel to or from the meeting site. Schengen States visas
Hungary is a member of the Schengen States.Visas and residence permits issued by one of the Schengen States are valid also for Hungary,
